JLA: Heaven's Ladder was written by Mark Waid, a comics mainstay responsible for acclaimed runs on comics like The Flash and JLA, but is best known for writing the seminal Kingdom Come, a genre-defining epic in the vein of The Watchmen that used the DC Comics heroes to tell the biblical story of Revelation. When reading that epic story, the words 'magnificent,' 'gorgeous,' and 'brilliant' frequently come to mind. Conversely, the words 'incoherent,' 'pretentious,' and 'awful' frequently come to mind when reading this one-shot novel he wrote during his run on Justice League of America. Like the worst of famous filmmakers like Shyamalan and Zemeckis, Heaven's Ladder strikes me as a misfire only a talented writer like Mark Waid could make, or at least someone who recently had a big hit, desperately trying to recapture lightning-in-a-bottle for a more mainstream readership. The result is one of the most poorly written, laughably bad graphic novels I've ever had the displeasure of

Pros: Bloody, viscerally satisfying combat Removes the entry fees and pointless hub world that plagued the first game Enjoyable side-quests that pay homage to 8-bit games Engrossing story shot through with meta humor and gleeful profanity Predictably excellent boss fights Cons: Troublesome camera Later stages drag a bit Shinobu's platforming is annoying No More Heroes 2 has finally gotten its much deserved re-release ten years after its original appearance on Wii, with both titles being re-released for Switch back in November. After playing the ps3 remake Heroes' Paradise some years back, I've been waiting for the chance to play the sequel to Suda51's Indie Gem. If you've read my review of that game, you'll know that I enjoyed it for its offbeat humor and spectacularly gory combat, but also felt it was held back by all the tedious open-world filler that was sandwiched in-between the entertaining story missions. Fortunately, the sequel aims to correct this flaw, by all but eliminating

- Crazy Taxi: Sleek and simple on the surface, but packing surprising depth under the hood, Crazy Taxi is a ride well worth taking. YA YA YA YA YA! - Crazy Taxi 2: The Crazy Taxi series returns to Dreamcast with a new city, new characters, and just enough new tricks to make it worth the added fare. - Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller: Crazy Taxi comes to the xbox with all of its frenetic action intact, but for those who played the previous games, there might not be enough fresh paint to make it worth another trip. - Crazy Taxi: Catch a Ride: Catch a Ride's efforts to translate CT's fast-paced gameplay to GBA are laudable, but it ultimately struggles to speed past the handheld's inherent limitations.

I was having a discussion with a friend and seeing as both shows are in your top 5 do you prefer Samurai Jack or Teen Titans?

Samurai Jack. Slightly.

Hey Jedi just curious when you watch shows do you watch on DVD or more so online?

now....more so online.

Hey, Jedi. I got Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. Do you want to play it with me sometime?

Sure, especially considering no one else seems to be playing online.

Okay, I'll let you know when I'll play the game. I'll have other people to play with us. Hope you don't mind.
